So then, I caught this the other day. Unfortunately for me.

Take two of my least favourite actresses (Uma Thurman and Lucy Lui) then make it directed and scripted by a man whose movies I usually detest Quentin damn Tarantino and you've got the recipe for a movie that I should detest...

...and damn right I hated it! (Nope, no double bluff there).

The film, on paper, ticks all the right boxes for me. It's hardcore, there's plenty of silly fighting and even a cartoon sequence. But I spent the whole film squirming waiting for it to end. I really don't know why.

I really wanted to like it too. I only watched to the end so that I didn't fall in to the trap of trying to watch it in the future.

Oh well.
